Project Description

Prjoect

Baltistan Culture and Development Foundation (BCDF) Surveyed for Archaeological Sites in Districts of Gilgit-Baltistan (Skardu, Kharmang, Shigar, Ganche, Gilgit, Astore, Hunza, Nagar, Ghizer and Diamer) and found 3,500+ sites, and documented all sites in details, also developed Android Application (Available at Google Play Store by searching “Archaeological Survey of Gilgit-Baltistan”).

Challenge

The Project task was difficult to survey the areas in Tangir & Darel and most of places impossible to climb and reach with instruments.

Approach

All the sites measured by the Civil Engineers and documented by the Senior Archaeologist of Pakistan (Honorable Dr. Muhammad Arif, Senior Archaeologist, Director General (R) Archaeological Department, Government of Pakistan), and other survey team with Photographers. All the task successfully completed.

The Process

Followed the process as per instruction by the Tourism Department.
